Today is a true gift from God!  Happy Holidays to all.
I am making a New Year's Resolution to do better all the way around.  Get my life back on track and take care of my needs and do things for me and what I enjoy.  I want to say a special thank you to Diane for caring!

Where have I been?

Sorry for the absence!  It has been crazy moving, starting school and trying to get everything organized and still haven't gotten the internet connected yet.  Who has the time?  Not me!  This school year sure is trying!  Kids are almost out of control...I get them calmed down and another teacher comes to get them and I can hear them in the hallway, 3 pods down!  Crazy!

Hi everyone out there!  I am working on discovery bottles and trying to get things going for getting packed up and organized for my move at the end of the month.  Sure wish I had a magic wand at this moment!  I will try and get some pics up of my try at discovery bottles!  Out of ink right now so I it might be a while.  Have a good day tomorrow and a blessed day!

Seven Random Facts About Myself

1. Born and raised here in Houston.

2.  Both boys are off to college.

3.  I want to start teaching in my dream town of New Braunfels, so I can enjoy the change of pace and do something I love to do during the summer.

4. I am scared with the thought of a empty nest this school year.

5.  I hate mornings.

6.  I love tubing down the river (this is out of order...it goes with #3).

7. I guess you can tell I am so random, hop, skip and jump around in my head...do they have medicine for that?

8.  I live on Sonic Diet Cokes.

9.  I love frogs.

10. I am a messy organizer, I need to do better.  Don't touch my mess...you will confuse me...hehehehehe!

The boys and I went to the beach and had a blast!  Something we all needed!  Now I feel the pain.

Also Happy Birthday to my Grand Nephew!  What a miracle boy he has been!  He finally got to have a true birthday party and he wasn't sure what to make of it.  But he loved it!

How Do You Know You're A Teacher?

1. You get a secret thrill out of laminating things.
2. You can hear 25 voices behind you and know exactly which one belongs to the child out of line.
3. You walk into a store and hear the words, “It’s Ms./Mr. ____________ "and know you have been spotted.
4. You have 25 people who  accidentally call you Mom/Dad at one time or another.
5. You can eat a multi-course meal in under 25 minutes.
6. You’ve trained yourself to go to the bathroom at two distinct times of the day, lunch and planning period.
7. You start saving other people’s trash, because most likely, you can use that toilet paper tube or plastic butter tub for something in the classroom.
8. You believe the Teacher’s Lounge should be equipped with a margarita machine.
9. You want to slap the next person who says, “Must be nice to work 7 to 3 and have summers off”.
10. You believe chocolate is a food group.
11. You can tell if it’s a full moon without ever looking outside.
12. You believe that unspeakable evils will befall you if anyone says, “Boy, the kids are sure mellow today.”
13. You feel the urge to talk to strange children and correct their behavior when you are out in public.
14. You believe in aerial spraying of Ritalin.
15. You think caffeine should be available in intravenous form.
16. You spend more money on school stuff than you do on your own children.
17. You can’t pass the school supply aisle without getting at least 5 items!

I so wish I could figure out how to post the cute buttons to send you to the web page.  I guess I will have to keep listening and reading to see if I can figure it out.  No matter who I ask they say go to Ladybug teaching files...and I do...all the time...I guess I am just a little special in my own way and can't figure it out.  One day my little light will shine!  I will figure all this out!  I made a center today but I need to sit on it for a bit and see if it makes sense.  I understand it, but will the students?  After I figure it out, I will post it and maybe someone can give me ideas.  Except I don't think any one will read it because I don't have any followers yet.  But we shall see!

Well I guess the 4th is officially over.  Where is this summer going?  Once again I had huge plans for this summer and yet another let down.  But that is okay ~ still a little time left to pick up the pieces and begin some fun.  Gottas:  GO TO THE BEACH!! And of course my annual trip to the river with the boys!  Get my white pasty self looking not looking vampirie..are these really made up words?  Yep, I do that, Jana Lingo, and apparently I am the only one that understands the Jana Lingo.  But that is okay, I live in my own little world.
